Philosophy of Marriage (1)

Marriage is greatly emphasized upon because of the many functions that it has and many objectives it enables man to achieve but every school of thought may present different goals and objectives for Marriage. In this short lecture (Part 1), Sheikh Shir Ali Soja' speaks about the Philosophies of Marriage from the viewpoint of Islam.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

الْقَلْبُ حَرَمُ اللَّهِ فَلَا تُسْكِنْ حَرَمَ اللَّهِ غَيْرَ اللَّهِ.

إنّ اللَّه عزّ و جلّ، خلق الخلق، و خلق معهم أرزاقهم حلالا طيّبا، فمن تناول شيئا منها حراما، قصّ به من ذلك الحلال.

لَا يَنْبَغِي لِمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ عَالِماً أَنْ يُعَدَّ سَعِيداً وَ لَا لِمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ وَدُوداً أَنْ يُعَدَّ حَمِيداً وَ لَا لِمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ صَبُوراً أَنْ يُعَدَّ كَامِلًا وَ لَا لِمَنْ لَا يَتَّقِي مَلَامَةَ الْعُلَمَاءِ وَ ذَمَّهُمْ أَنْ يُرْجَى لَهُ خَيْرُ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ وَ يَنْبَغِي لِلْعَاقِلِ أَنْ يَكُونَ صَدُوقاً لِيُؤْمَنَ عَلَى حَدِيثِهِ وَ شَكُوراً لِيَسْتَوْجِبَ الزِّيَادَةَ.
