Today in Ramadhan (15) - Birth of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (a.s.); Muslim ibn ‘Aqeel leaving Meccah towards Kufah; Birth of Sheikh al-Tusi.

On such a day a blessed son was born to Imam Ali (as) and lady Fatima (as) who was named al-Hassan by the Prophet (s).
He was known for his generosity and kindness to the poor and bondmen, and for his knowledge, tolerance and bravery.

إِنَّ الْعُلَمَاءَ وَرَثَةُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَ ذَاكَ أَنَّ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ لَمْ يُورِثُوا دِرْهَماً وَ لَا دِينَاراً وَ إِنَّمَا أَوْرَثُوا أَحَادِيثَ مِنْ أَحَادِيثِهِمْ فَمَنْ أَخَذَ بِشَيْ‏ءٍ مِنْهَا فَقَدْ أَخَذَ حَظّاً وَافِراً فَانْظُرُوا عِلْمَكُمْ هَذَا عَمَّنْ تَأْخُذُونَهُ فَإِنَّ فِينَا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ فِي كُلِّ خَلَفٍ عُدُولًا يَنْفُونَ عَنْهُ تَحْرِيفَ الْغَالِينَ وَ انْتِحَالَ الْمُبْطِلِينَ وَ تَأْوِيلَ الْجَاهِلِينَ.

Verily the scholars are the heirs of the prophets. And that is because the prophets did not bequeath gold and silver, rather they bequeathed...

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

إنَّ أشَدَّ الناسِ عَذابا يَومَ القِيامَةِ رَجُلٌ أقَرَّ نُطفَتَهُ في رَحِمٍ تَحْرُمُ علَيهِ.

ما مِن رَجُلٍ تَكَبَّرَ أو تَجَبَّرَ إلا لِذِلَّةٍ وَجَدَها في نفسِهِ.

لا يَدخُلُ الجَنَّةَ مَن كانَ في قَلبِهِ مِثقالُ حَبّةٍ مِن خَردَلٍ مِن الكِبرِ ، فاستَرجَعتُ ، فقالَ : مالَكَ تَستَرجِعُ ؟ قلتُ : لِما سَمِعتُ مِنكَ ، فقالَ : ليسَ حَيثُ تَذهَبُ ، إنّما أعني الجُحودَ ، إنّما هُو الجُحودُ.
