الإمام محمد الباقر (عليه السَّلام):
كانَ رسولُ اللّه صلى الله عليه و آله يأكُلُ أكلَ العَبدِ، ويَجلِسُ جِلسَةَ العَبدِ، وكانَ يأكُلُ علَى الحَضيضِ، ويَنامُ علَى الحَضيضِ.

The Prophet (s) ate the food of slaves and would sit in the place of slaves. He would eat low on the ground and sleep on the ground.
