Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as): The believer is clement and does not act rashly [with others], and if he is ever treated rashly, he forbears. He does not wrong anyone, and if he is ever wronged, he forgives. he is never miserly, and if someone is miserly towards him, he remains patient. al-Kāfī
