Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as): It is written in the Torah: 'Be thankful to the one who does good to you, and do good to the one who thanks you, for verily your blessings will not cease to exist as long as you give thanks, just as it will not remain for you if you should be ungrateful. Thankfulness [to Allah] brings about increase in blessings and security against alterations.' al-Kāfī
