Imam Ali (as): Realize that your Imam has contented himself with two shabby pieces of clothes out of the (comforts of the) world and two loaves of bread for his meal. Certainly, you cannot live like that but at least assist me with piety, exertion, chastity and uprightness, because, by Allah, I have not treasured any gold from your world nor have I amassed plentiful wealth.
