Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as): Do not grieve over what has escaped you of this world; for the little of this world will not last long and its too much is not devoid of misfortune, so keep on your guard and be earnest in your affair, and remove the vail [of negligence] from your face. al-Kāfī
