Imam Ali (as): Let me suffice with salt and some loaves of bread out of [the comforts of] your world, for I see felicity to be secured only through God-wariness. What does Ali have to do with a bounty which is bound to perish and an enjoyment provided through sin? My Shia and I will meet our Lord with eyes which kept awake [at nights] and with empty stomachs.
