Imam al-Reḍa (as):
God is all-aware in the sense that nothing escapes His attention or evades Him, [His knowledge being] independent of experience or consideration of things, for experience and consideration in turn produce two types of knowledge, without which He would not know [if he were to be dependent on them], and would therefore be ignorant.

Imam Ali (as):
Every Knowledgeable person acquired knowledge after he was ignorant, while Allah was never ignorant and thus He never learned.

Imam al-Kazim (as):
Verily Allah is too High, too Exalted and too Great for the essence and reality of His attributes to ever be perceived, so describe Him as He Himself has described Himself, and desist from anything other than that.

Imam al-Sajjad (as):
Imam Zayn al-Abidin (as) said in one of his supplications, ‘I have attained knowledge of You through You, and You are the One Who guided me to Yourself and called me to Yourself, and were it not for You, I would not know who You are.’ And in another tradition, Imam al-Sadiq (as) is reported to have said, 'Indeed Allah has produced argument against you by making Himself known to you.'

Imam Ali (as):
Imam Ali (as) was asked: 'How did you come to know your Lord?' To which he replied, 'I came to know my Lord by how He made Himself known to me.' then it was said, 'And how did He make Himself known to you?' He replied, 'That no image resembles him, that He cannot be perceived by the senses, and that He is not to be compared to people.'

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
When asked about the lowest essential degree of knowing Allah, Imam al-Baqir (as) replied, [It is to believe that] there is nothing like Him, nothing resembles Him, and that He has always been All-knowing, All-hearing and All-seeing.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
Indeed Allah is lenient and loves leniency, and He gives such a reward for being lenient that He does not give for being harsh.

Imam Ali (as):
A rabbi came to Imam Ali (as) asking: O Amir al-Mu’minin, have you seen your Lord while worshipping Him? Imam (as) Replied: I do not worship a Lord Whom I cannot see!’ So the rabbi asked, ‘But how do you see Him?’ Imam (as) replied, ‘Eyes do not perceive Him by looking with the sights; it is the hearts that behold Him with the realities of faith.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
A man came to Imam al-Baqir (as) and asked, ‘O abu Ja’far, who do you worship?’ The Imam replied, ‘I worship Allah, the Most High.’ He then asked, ‘Have you seen Him?’ The Imam then said, ‘Eyes do not see Him by looking with the sights; it is the hearts that behold Him with the realities of faith. He is not known by analogy or through the senses nor is He to be compared with people. He is described and known through His signs [manifest in His creation]. He does not do injustice in His judgment. Thus is Allah; there is no god except Him.'

Imam Ali (as):
Imam al-Kazim (AS), when he was asked about the lowest degree of inner knowledge, replied, ‘It is to affirm that there is no god but He, and that He has no likeness or match, and that He is eternal, perpetual and everlasting. He is All-existent and not absent, and that there is nothing like Him.’
