The Prophet Muhammad (S):
The Prophet (SAWA) said [to his companions]: 'It is incumbent upon every single Muslim to give charity every day.' When they exclaimed who would be capable of such a thing, he replied, ‘[Charity does not always involve spending money, so] Your removal of an obstacle from a pathway is an act of charity; your guiding someone to the right path is an act of charity; your visiting the sick is an act of charity; your enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong are acts of charity; and your returning someone’s greeting is an act of charity.’

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Whoever visits a sick person, seventy thousand angels will escort him seeking forgiveness for him until he returns to his house.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):
When the Prophet (s) missed the company of any of his brothers for three days, he would inquire about him. If he was not present [in town], he would pray for him; and if he was in town, he would visit him; and if he was ill, he would go to see him.
