مَا شِيعَتُنَا إِلَّا مَنِ اتَّقَى اللَّهَ وَ أَطَاعَهُ وَ مَا كَانُوا يُعْرَفُونَ إِلَّا بِالتَّوَاضُع … ِ وَ تَعَهُّدِ الْجِيرَانِ مِنَ الْفُقَرَاءِ وَ ذَوِي الْمَسْكَنَةِ وَ الْغَارِمِينَ وَ الْأَيْتَام … ِ وَ كَفِّ الْأَلْسُنِ عَنِ النَّاسِ إِلَّا مِنْ خَيْرٍ وَ كَانُوا أُمَنَاءَ عَشَائِرِهِمْ فِي الْأَشْيَاءِ.
De hecho, nuestros seguidores chiítas son sólo aquellos que conscientemente desconfían de su deber para con Allah y Le obedecen; que son conocidos únicamente por su humildad..., cuidando de sus vecinos pobres, los indigentes, los endeudados y los huérfanos... y son conocidos por refrenar sus lenguas de cualquier cosa que no sea buena cuando hablan de las personas. Y entre sus parientes se confía en ellos para todo.

Al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī b. al-Ḥusayn b. Shuʿba al-Ḥarrānī (Arabic: الحسن بن علی بن الحسین بن شعبه الحرَّانی) is a Shi'i hadith compiler. His major work on hadith is Tuhaf al-'uqul. There are two works attributed to al-Harrani; al-Tamhis and Tuhaf al-'uqul fi ma ja' min al-hikam wa l-mawa'iz min Al al-Rasul.
