Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
The believer continues to remain in goodness, comfort, and mercy from Allah as long as he doe’s not seek a hasty response [to his supplication], doe's not despair and abandon supplication as a consequence of his despair'. The Imam was asked, 'How does he hasten?', to which he (as) replied, 'He says, 'I have supplicated since such and such a time and I do not yet see an answer.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
When someone supplicates to Allah, Allah is constantly working to grant his need as long as he doe’s not seek a quick and hasty response.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
I have come to learn that the act of common courtesy is not completed unless through three features: deeming it insignificant, concealing it, and rushing to do it immediately; when you view it as little, you have made great in the eyes of the one you have done good to, when you conceal it, you have perfected it, and when you rush to do it, you have made it sweet, otherwise, [if you don’t do any of that], you will have rendered it worthless and bitter.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
When any of you aims to do something good or make a donation, two devils stand on his right and left side, so he must rush to do it immediately, or they will prevent him from doing it.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
When you think of doing something good, rush to do it immediately for verily you do not know what could happen later [to prevent you from doing it].

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
Whoever intends to perform a good deed must hasten towards it; because every matter which is delayed Satan will have a chance with it [he will try to discourage one or make him forget the performance of good].

Imam Ali (as):
