رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
لا يَتَمنّى أحَدُكُمُ المَوتَ لِضُرٍّنَزَلَ بهِ، فإن كانَ ولابُدَّ فاعِلًا فلْيَقُل: اللّهُمّ أحيِني ما كانَتِ الحَياةُ خَيرا لي، وتَوَفَّني إذا كانَتِ الوَفاةُ خَيرا لي.
你们中任何人不要因遭遇灾难而用死亡诅咒自己。但可以说：
主啊，如果活着对我有利，求你让我活着，如果死亡对我有利，就让我死去。
