الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
ما كلّمَ رسولُ اللّهِ صلى الله عليه و آله العِبادَ بكُنهِ عَقلِهِ قَطُّ ، قالَ رسولُ اللّهِ صلى الله عليه و آله : إنّا مَعاشِرَ الأنبياءِ اُمِرنا أن نُكلِّمِ النّاسَ على قدرِ عُقولِهِم.
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
The messenger of Allah (s) never spoke to anyone in a way proportionate to the depth of his own intellect. The messenger of Allah said, 'We the prophets have been commanded to speak to people according to the capacity of their intellects.'

دَعِ الْكَلَامَ فِيمَا لَا يَعْنِيكَ وَ فِي غَيْرِ مَوْضِعِهِ فَرُبَّ كَلِمَةٍ سَلَبَتْ نِعْمَةَّ وَ لَفْظَةٍ أَتَتْ عَلَى مُهْجَةٍ.

Quit speaking about something that does not concern you, or saying something in the wrong place, for many an utterance took away a blessing and many a [spoken] word led to bloodshed.
