Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

أَيُّمَا مُؤْمِنٍ أَوْصَلَ إِلَى أَخِيهِ الْمُؤْمِنِ مَعْرُوفاً فَقَدْ أَوْصَلَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص.

Any believer who performs an act of goodness to his believing brother has in fact extended it to reach the prophet (s).

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

ما اجتَمَعَ أربعةُ رَهطٍ قَطُّ على أمرٍ واحدٍ فَدَعَوا اللّهَ إلاّ تَفَرَّقُوا عن إجابَةٍ .

No sooner does a group of [at least] four people congregate to supplicate together for a matter than they depart with an answer.

كَيْفَ مُدَاعَبَةُ بَعْضِكُمْ بَعْضاً؟» قُلْتُ: قَلِيلٌ، قَالَ: «فَلَا تَفْعَلُوا؛ فَإِنَّ الْمُدَاعَبَةَ مِنْ حُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ، وَ إِنَّكَ‏ لَتُدْخِلُ بِهَا السُّرُورَ عَلى‏ أَخِيكَ، وَ لَقَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و آله يُدَاعِبُ الرَّجُلَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَسُرَّهُ.

اجْعَلُوا أَمْرَكُمْ هَذَا لِلَّهِ وَ لَا تَجْعَلُوهُ لِلنَّاسِ فَإِنَّهُ مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ فَهُوَ لِلَّهِ وَ مَا كَانَ لِلنَّاسِ فَلَا يَصْعَدُ إِلَى اللَّهِ .

أكثِرُوا ذِكرَ اللّهِ ما استَطَعتُم في كُلِّ ساعةٍ مِن ساعاتِ الليلِ و النهارِ ، فإنَّ اللّهَ أمَرَ بكَثرَةِ الذِكرِ لَهُ .

مَن عادَ مَريضا شَيَّعَهُ سَبعونَ ألفَ ملَكٍ يَستَغفِرونَ لَهُ حتّى يَرجِعَ إلى مَنزلِهِ.

Whoever visits a sick person, seventy thousand angels will escort him seeking forgiveness for him until he returns to his house.
