Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

لَأَنْ أُصْلِحَ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ‏ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ بِدِينَارَيْنِ.

To reconcile between two persons is more beloved to me than spending two Dinars in charity.

الصَّدَقةُ تَقضِي الدَّينَ و تُخلِفُ بِالبَرَكَةِ.

Giving in charity helps settle debts and leaves behind blessings.

إنّ اللّهَ تباركَ و تعالى أشرَكَ بينَ الأغنياءِ و الفُقَراءِ في الأموالِ ، فلَيسَ لَهُم أن يَصرِفوا إلى غَيرِ شُرَكائِهِم.

Verily Allah has made the rich and the poor associates in wealth, so the rich must not spend [the share of their associates] in anything els...

ثَلاثَةٌ لا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللّهُ يومَ القِيامَةِ و لا يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَ لَهُمْ عَذابٌ ألِيمٌ: مَنِ ادّعى إمامةً مِنَ اللّهِ لَيسَتْ لَهُ، و مَنْ جَحَدَ إماما مِنَ اللّهِ، و مَنْ زَعَمَ أنّ لَهُما في الإسلامِ نَصيبا.

Allah will not speak to three types of people on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them [of their sins] and they will have a painf...

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

إنّ أشدَّ النّاسِ بلاءً الأنبياءُ، ثُمّ الّذين يَلُونَهُم ، ثُمّ الأمْثَلُ فالأمثلُ .

The prophets have the hardest ordeals from amongst people, then their successors, then they scale down according to their piety.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

عَظِّمُوا كِبارَكُم و صِلُوا أرحامَكُم .

Venerate the old ones from amongst you and maintain relations with your kin.
