The Best of Worship

There is a hadith which says: one hour of thinking is much better than seventy years of worship. And this shows how significant the role of thinking is in a Muslim's life. In this clip, another tradition is narrated about the importance of a specific kind of thinking.

مِنَ التَّوَاضُعِ أَنْ تَرْضى‏ بِالْمَجْلِسِ دُونَ الْمَجْلِسِ‏، وَ أَنْ تُسَلِّمَ عَلى‏ مَنْ تَلْقى‏، وَ أَنْ تَتْرُكَ الْمِرَاءَ وَ إِنْ كُنْتَ مُحِقّاً، وَ لَاتُحِبَّ أَنْ تُحْمَدَ عَلَى التَّقْوى.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

لِأَهْلِ الْإِيمَانِ أَرْبَعُ عَلَامَاتٍ وَجْهٌ مُنْبَسِطٌ وَ لِسَانٌ لَطِيفٌ وَ قَلْبٌ رَحِيمٌ وَ يَدٌ مُعْطِيَةٌ.
