Shaikh Toosi has reported Zyarat of Arbae'en from Imam Ja'far Sadiq (A), in one of his works "Mesbah-al-Motahjjed", according to him this Ziyarat must be recited on the day of Arbae’en. [1] In fact, this meaningful ziyarat is a brief introduction to the divine and spiritual characteristic of Imam Husain (A) made by the sixth infallible Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (A).

Imam Husain (A) guided the mankind and accomplished his divine mission through his martyrdom. Actually Imam's sacred blood was poured in Karbala to be as a guide line for the mankind forever.

In the first part of this ziyarat Imam Sadiq (A) starts introducing Imam Husain (A) saying that:

"Peace be on the favorite of Allah, Peace be on the beloved friend of Allah, His distinguished hero! Peace be on the choicest confidant of Allah, … Peace be on Husain, who gave his life in the way of Allah, a martyr, underwent untold hardships … O my Allah I give witness that beyond a shadow of doubt he is Thy favorite and choicest confidant, who enjoys Thy confidence and favor, … Thou looked up to him and elected him in Thy cause, picked and chose him for the good fortune …" [2]

From these parts of the Ziyarat it is deduced that not only Allah (J) elected Imam Husain as his beloved friend, but also imam Husain (A) loved Allah in a way that he sacrificed himself for the sake of Him, the exalted. Such a lovely relationship could not be from one side rather it is a bilateral love that makes imam Husain (A) as the eternal and everlasting hero who is loved by all throughout the history.

In these phrases of this ziyarat, Imam Sadiq (A) describes Imam Husain (A) as a beloved friend of Allah (J) who is chosen by God as the choicest confident of Allah (J). Now a question may arise here that why Imam Husain (A) is introduced as such by the Imam, and how this martyred Imam deserved such a great and excellent position before his lord.
The answer to this question could be understood from the following phrases the very Ziyarat, where Imam Sadiq (A) states:

"Peace be on Husain, who gave his life in the way of Allah, a martyr, who underwent untold hardships"

Imam Sadiq (A) in this part of the Ziyarat makes it clear that since Imam Husain (A) sacrificed himself for the sake of Allah (J), and gave his life in the way of his lord, he deserves such a great divine position.
In another significant phrase of this ziyarat we read that Imam Husain (A)

"(he) met with deadly dangers, acted justly and fairly, made use of everything belonging to him to pay full attention, to give sincere advice, took pains, made every effort and put his heart, mind, soul and life at the disposal of Thy mission to liberate the people from the yoke of ignorance and evil of bewilderment"

According to this part of the Ziyarat Imam Husain (A) made his every effort and put his heart to liberate the people from the ignorance and evil of bewilderment. It is the best introduction of Imam Husain's character, which is made by the Holy Imam Sadiq (A). Because, according to the Islamic teachings and doctrines the successors of the Prophet (P) are the leaders and the teachers of mankind, who must guide the human beings into the right path. Imam Husain (A) guided the mankind and accomplished his divine mission through his martyrdom. Actually Imam's sacred blood was poured in Karbala to be as a guide line for the mankind forever.
