The Best of Worship

There is a hadith which says: one hour of thinking is much better than seventy years of worship. And this shows how significant the role of thinking is in a Muslim's life. In this clip, another tradition is narrated about the importance of a specific kind of thinking.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

إنَّ اللّه عزّ و جلّ لَم يَبْعثْ نَبيّا إلّا بصِدقِ الحديثِ و أداءِ الأمانةِ إلَى البَرِّ و الفاجر.

Allah did not send any messenger except with two traits: truthfulness in speech and returning a trust to its owner; be he good or wicked.

إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ الدُّنْيَا كَمَثَلِ الْحَيَّةِ، مَا أَلْيَنَ مَسَّهَا وَ فِي جَوْفِهَا السَّمُّ النَّاقِعُ‏، يَحْذَرُهَا الرَّجُلُ الْعَاقِلُ، وَ يَهْوِي إِلَيْهَا الصَّبِيُّ الْجَاهِلُ.
