Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
The nearest a servant can ever be to Allah is when his stomach is light, and the most hated a servant can ever be by Allah is when his stomach is filled [with food].

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Nothing is more harmful to the heart of a believer than excessive eating, for it leaves him with two traits: hard-heartedness and burning lust.
