الإمام السّجاد (عليه السَّلام):

إِنَّهَا لَتَزْهَرُ بَيْنَ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ كَمَا يَزْهَرُ الْكَوْكَبُ الدُّرِّيُّ بَيْنَ الْكَوَاكِبِ لِأَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ يَغْشَى نُورُهَا أَبْصَارَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ جَمِيعاً وَ هِيَ تُنَادِي أَنَا أَرْضُ اللَّهِ الْمُقَدَّسَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ الْمُبَارَكَةُ الَّتِي تَضَمَّنَتْ سَيِّدَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَ سَيِّدَ شَبَابِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّة.

Imam al-Sajjad (as):

The land of Karbala illuminates among the gardens of Paradise the way a glittering star illuminates among other stars for the dwellers of the earth, the light of which captivates the eyes of all the dwellers of Paradise, and it calls out: “I am the sacred, pure and blessed land of Allah which contains the pure body of the master of martyrs and the chief of the youth of Paradise.”

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):

السجود على طین قبر الحسین (علیه السلام): يُنَوِّرُ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ السَّابِعَة وَ مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ سُبْحَةٌ مِنْ طِينِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع كُتِبَ مُسَبِّحاً وَ إِنْ لَمْ يُسَبِّحْ بِهَا…

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

Prostration on the soil taken from the grave of Hussain (AS) illuminates as far as the seventh earth and he who has with him a rosary [Tasbih] made of the soil of Hussain’s grave will be written as the glorifier of Allah even if he does not glorify Allah with it.

مَنْ أَتَى قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ (علیه السلام) عَارِفاً بِحَقِّهِ كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فِي أَعْلَى عِلِّيِّينَ.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

Whoever goes to visit the grave of Hussain (AS) with full knowledge and acknowledgment of his right Allah, Mighty and Exalted, will ordain for his place to be in the highest levels of Paradise.

َ لَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ مَا فِي زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (علیه السلام) مِنَ الْفَضْلِ لَمَاتُوا شَوْقا.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):

If people knew the virtue of visiting the grave of Hussain, they would surely die of yearning [for him].

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):

لا تَدَع زیارَهَ الحُسَینِ بنِ عَلىّ علیه السلام و مُر اَصحابَکَ بِذالِکَ، یَمُدُّ اللّه فى عُمرِکَ و یَزیدُ اللّه فى رِزقِکَ و یُحییکَ اللّه سَعیدا و لاتَموتُ اِلاّ سَعیدا و یَکتُبکَ سَعیدا.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

Never leave out visiting the grave of Hussain and instruct your companions to do the same, so that Allah may lengthen your lifespan, increase your livelihood, make you live with prosperity, and die with prosperity and write your name among the prosperous ones.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):

بى اُنذِرتُم وَ بِعَلىِّ بنِ أبى طالِبِ اهْتَدَیتُم… وَ بِالْحَسَنِ اُعْطیتُمُ الإْحسانُ وَ بِالْحُسَینِ تَسعَدونَ وَ بِهِ تَشقونَ ألا وَ إنَّ الْحُسَینَ بابٌ مِن أبوابِ الْجَنَّهِ مَن عاداهُ حَرَّمَ اللّه‏ُ عَلَیهِ ریحَ الْجَنَّهِ .

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

You have been warned through me, and will be guided through Ali… And through Hassan, you will be bestowed upon with favor, and through Hussain you will be either prosperous or wretched [depending on how you treat him]. Verily, Hussain is a gate from among the gates of Paradise and whoever is hostile towards him, Allah will deprive him of even smelling the fragrance of Paradise.

لأَندُبَنَّکَ صَباحاً و مَساءً و لأَبکِیَنَّ عَلَیکَ بَدَلَ الدُّمُوعِ دَماً.

Imam al-Mahdi (as):

I will wail for you [O Hussain] morning and evening and I will cry blood instead of tears for you.

مَن عمِلَ في بِدعةٍ خَلّاهُ الشّيطانُ و العِبادةَ، وألْقى عليهِ الخُشوعَ وَ البُكاءَ

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

When a man acts in accordance with an innovation, Satan will leave him to worship and incite humility and tears in him [i.e. that he may continue in its performance].
