Imam Ali (as):
Among the obligatory rights of Allah upon His servants is that they should give good advice to one another to the best of their ability, and collaborate for the establishment of the truth among them.

Imam Ali (as):
One who offers you good advice is being sympathetic towards you, doing you a favor, taking your future into consideration and trying to correct your shortcomings, thus, in his obedience, lies your progress and, in his defiance, lies your corruption.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
Follow the one who might [even] make you cry but is a sincere and honest advisor to you, and do not follow the one who makes you laugh while he deceives you.

:
The dinar [i.e. wealth] is like a disease to religion, and the knowledgeable man is religion’s doctor. So when you see the doctor drawing the disease upon himself, be suspicious of him and know that such a man is not to be trusted in his advise.
