The Prophet Muhammad (S):
I seek refuge in Allah from a bad neighbor, who keeps an eye on you and whose heart is watching you; if he sees you in a good condition, he becomes upset, and if he sees you in an adverse situation, he becomes happy.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):
O community of those who have proclaimed faith with their tongues but have not truly submitted in their hearts, do not probe for flaws in believers, for a man who probes the flaws of his brothers will have Allah probe his own flaws; and when Allah probes the flaws of a man, He will expose him.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Do not probe for flaws in believers, for a man that probes the flaws of his brother will have Allah probe his own flaws; and when Allah probes the flaws of a man, He will expose him even if he were inside his own home.

Imam al-Jawad (as):
It is enough of a fault for a man if he sees in people the very same fault that he possesses but to which he is blind, or if he blames others for that which he himself is unable to abandon.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):
O assembly of those who have professed Islam with their tongues but faith is yet to settle in their hearts, do not reproach the Muslims and do not seek to pursue their faults, for verily whoever pursues the faults of believers, Allah will pursue his faults, and whoever’s faults Allah pursues, He will expose him, even if he be in the confines of his own home.

:
al-Khidr (as), in his advice to Prophet Moses (as) said, ‘O son of Imran, do not ever condemn somebody for a wrongdoing, and cry, instead, over your own wrongdoing.’

Imam Ali (as):
