حَسبُكَ مِن الكذبِ أن تُحَدِّثَ بكُلِّ ما سَمِعتَ.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

It suffices as lying for you to repeat everything that you hear.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):

مَن أذاعَ فاحِشَةً كانَ كمُبتَدِئها، ومَن‏ عَيَّرَ مُؤمِنا بِشَي‏ءٍ لَم يَمُتْ حَتّى يَركَبَهُ.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

The one who exposes someone’s indecent deed is as the one who initiated it, and the one who condemns a believer for something will not die before becoming guilty of it himself.

الإمام علي (عليه السَّلام):

ذَوُو الْعُيُوبِ يُحِبُّونَ إِشَاعَةَ مَعَايِبِ النَّاسِ لِيَتَّسِعَ لَهُمُ الْعُذْرُ فِي مَعَايِبِهِمْ

Imam Ali (as):

Those who have faults love that other people's faults should be spread so that they could make excuses for their own faults.

أدنَى الكُفرِ أنْ يَسمعَ الرّجُلُ مِن أخيهِ الكَلِمَةَ فيَحْفَظَها علَيهِ يُريدُ أنْ يَفْضَحَهُ بها، اولئكَ لا خَلاقَ لَهُم.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

The most basic level of infidelity is for a man to hear a fellow brother say something and memorize it for future to use against him in order to shame him with it. Those are worthless people indeed.
