رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
إنَّ أولياءَ اللّهِ سَكَتوا فكانَ سُكوتُهُم ذِكرا ، و نَظَرُوا فكانَ نَظَرُهُم عِبرَةً ، و نَطَقُوا فكانَ نُطقُهُم حِكمَةً .
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
Verily the friends of God are engaged in His remembrance when they are silent, they take lessons when they observe and when they speak, they impart wisdom.

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
في قولِهِ تعالى : «اِصْبِرُوا و صابِرُوا و رابِطُوا» ـ : اِصبِرُوا علَى الفَرائضِ ، و صابِرُوا علَى المَصائبِ ، و رابِطُوا علَى الأئمّةِ عليهم السلام.
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Regarding the verse: “Be patient, and stand firm, and be united.” Imam al-Sadiq (as) said, Be patient with obligatory acts, stand firm in the face of calamities, and be united with the Imams [of Ahl al-Bayt].

يَحْتَاجُ الْإِمَامُ إِلَى قَلْبٍ عَقُولٍ وَ لِسَانٍ قَئُولٍ وَ جَنَانٍ عَلَى إِقَامَةِ الْحَقِّ صَئُولٍ

The Imam needs a wise heart, an expressive tongue and a staunch soul [i.e. authority] in establishing the truth.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
إنّ فاطمةَ بَضْعةٌ مِنّي، و هي نورُ عَيْني، وثَمَ رةُ فُؤادي، يَسوؤني ما ساءها، و يَسُرُّني ما سَرَّها، و إنّها أوّلُ مَن يَلْحَقُني مِن أهلِ بيتي.
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
Verily Fatima is a part of me, and is the light of my eyes and the fruit of my heart, whatever grieves her grieves me, whatever pleases her pleases me, and indeed she will be the first to join me [after my death] from my household.
