الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
إنَّ أبغَضَ خَلقِ اللّهِ عبدٌ اتّقَى النّاسُ لِسانَهُ.
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
The person most despised from among Allah's creatures is a man whose [sharp] tongue people are wary of.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
قالَ اللّهُ تباركَ و تعالى : مَن أهانَ لي وَليّا فقد أرْصَدَ لِمُحارَبتي .
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
'Verily Allah, Blessed and most High, says, 'He who insults a friend of Mine has indeed set himself up to fight Me.

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
إِنَّ الْفُحْشَ وَ الْبَذَاءَ وَ السَّلَاطَةَ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ.
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Obscene language, foulness, and impudence are all from hypocrisy.

:
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبْغِضُ الْفَاحِشَ الْمُتَفَحِّشَ.
:
Allah despises one who uses obscene language and is shameless with it.

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
مَنْ فَحُشَ‏ عَلى‏ أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ، نَزَعَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ بَرَكَةَ رِزْقِهِ، وَ وَ كَلَهُ إِلى‏ نَفْسِهِ، وَ أَفْسَدَ عَلَيْهِ مَعِيشَتَهُ.
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Whoever uses foul language against his Muslim brother Allah snatches away the benediction in his sustenance, leaves him to be on his own and thwarts his efforts at earning a livelihood.

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
إِنَّ مِنْ شَرِّ عِبَادِ اللَّهِ مَنْ تُكْرَهُ‏ مُجَالَسَتُهُ لِفُحْشِهِ.
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Among the most evil servants of Allah are those whose company is avoided [by people] due to their use of obscene language.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
إنَّ مِن شَرِّ عِبادِ اللّهِ مَن تَكرَهُ مُجالَسَتَهُ لِفُحشِهِ.
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
The most evil of the servants of Allah are those whose company is abhorred [by people] because of their obscenity.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
لا تَسُبُّوا الناسَ فَتَكتَسِبُوا العَداوةَ بَينَهُم.
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
Do not insult people lest you procure animosity from them.

الإمام محمد الباقر (عليه السَّلام):
إنّ اللّهَ عَزَّ و جلَّ يُحِبُّ المُداعِبَ في الجَماعةِ بلا رَفَثٍ .
Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
Allah loves the one who is jolly among people without being obscene.

الإمام محمد الباقر (عليه السَّلام):
الإمامُ الباقرُ عليه السلام ـ في قولِ اللّهِ عَزَّ و جلَّ : «و قُولُوا للنّاسِ حُسْنا» ـ : قولوا للناسِ أحسَنَ ما تُحِبُّونَ أن يُقالَ فيكُم .
Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
Imam al-Baqir (as), with regard to Allah's verse: "And speak kindly to people" said, 'Say to people the best of what you like to be said about you.'
