رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
إذا استَهَلَّ رَمَضانُ غُلِّقَتْ أبوابُ النارِ ، وفُتِحَتْ أبوابُ الجِنانِ ، وصُفِّدَتِ الشَّياطينُ
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
As soon as the month of Ramadan sets in, the gates of Hell are locked up, the gates of Paradise are opened, and the devils are bound up

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
المؤمنُ لَه قوّةٌ في دِينٍ ، و حَزْمٌ في لِينٍ ، و إيمانٌ في يقينٍ ، و حِرْصٌ في فِقهٍ ، و نَشاطٌ في هُدىً ......... و صَلاةٌ في شُغلٍ .
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
The believer possesses strength in his religion, prudence in his leniency, faith in conviction, an avid desire for religious understanding, activity in [matters pertaining to] guidance... and prayer during times of preoccupation.

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
المؤمنُ حَسَنُ المَعونةِ ، خفيفُ المَؤونةِ، جَيّدُ التّدبيرِ لِمَعيشتِهِ ، لا يُلْسَعُ مِن جُحْرٍ مرّتينِ .
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
The believer is a great helper, and a very light burden. He is good at economizing for his livelihood, and is never stung twice from one hole [i.e. never makes the same mistake again].

الإمام محمد الباقر (عليه السَّلام):
يَخْرُجُ أحَدُكُم فَراسِخَ فَيَطْلُبُ لِنَفْسِهِ دَليلاً ، و أنتَ بِطُرُقِ السّماءِ أجْهَلُ منكَ بِطُرُقِ الأرضِ ، فاطْلُبْ لِنَفْسِكَ دليلاً .
Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
When one of you wants to walk a few miles, he seeks a guide for himself; and you are more unfamiliar with the ways of the heavens than the ways of the earth, so seek out a guide for yourself.

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
لَا تُشْعِرُوا قُلُوبَكُمُ الِاشْتِغَالَ بِمَا قَدْ فَاتَ؛ فَتَشْغَلُوا أَذْهَانَكُمْ عَنِ الِاسْتِعْدَادِ لِمَا لَمْ يَأْتِ.
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Do not preoccupy your hearts with that which has been lost, or it will distract you from preparing for that which is yet to come.

أكثِروا ذِكرَ المَوتِ، فما مِن عَبدٍأكثَرَ ذِكرَهُ إلّا أحيا اللّهُ قلبَهُ وهَوَّنَ علَيهِ المَوتَ.
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
Increase your remembrance of death, for any servant who increases its remembrance, Allah will revive his heart and ease death for him.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
قال رسولُ اللّهِ صلى الله عليه و آله: أكثِروا مِن ذِكرِ هادِمِ اللَّذّاتِ، فقيلَ: يا رسولَ اللّهِ، فما هادِمُ اللَّذّاتِ؟ قالَ: المَوتُ، فإنّ أكيَسَ المؤمنينَ أكثَرُهُم ذِكرا للمَوتِ، وأشَدُّهُم لَهُ استِعدادا.
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
Increase the remembrance of the demolisher of desires.' He was asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, what is the demolisher of desires?' He said, 'Death, for the most sagacious of believers are those who remember death the most and are the most prepared for it.

الكَيِّسُ مَن كانَ يَومُهُ خَيرا مِن أمسِهِ، وعَقَلَ الذَّمَّ عن نفسِهِ.
