Hadiths Of A Believer's Honour and Dignity

شَرَفُ المؤمِنِ قِيامُ اللَّيلِ ، و عِزُّهُ استِغناؤهُ عنِ الناسِ .

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

A believer’s dignity lies in his standing for the night prayer, and his honour lies in his being free from need of people.

Imam al-Sadiq (as), when asked about gallantry said, 'That Allah should not see you where He has prohibited you, and that He does not miss you where He has ordered you.'

Imam Ali (as):

Habituate yourself to performing noble deeds and to bear the burdensome consequences [of your bad deeds], and your soul will be elevated as a result, your Hereafter will flourish, and your admirers will increase.
