Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Verily Allah, Mighty and Exalted, has deposited the believers' livelihoods in places whence they do not anticipate it to come, and that is because when the servant does not know the location of his livelihood, his supplication for it increases.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
The creature of Allah most eligible for submission to the decree of Allah, Mighty and Exalted, is he who knows Allah, Mighty and Exalted.

Imam al-Reḍa (as):
Imam al-Rida (as), when asked about conviction, said: '[It is] Trust in Allah, submission to Allah, satisfaction with Allah’s decree, and handing over [one’s affairs] to Allah.'

Imam al-Kazim (as):
When he was asked about the verse, ‘And whoever puts his trust in Allah, He is sufficient for him.’, Imam al-Kazim (as) said, Trust in Allah has different stages; that you put your trust in Allah in all your affairs, and be pleased with whatever He might do about you, and that you know that He never withholds any good and favor from you, that the decree in it belongs to Him, thus, you must trust in Allah by handing your affairs over to Him, and trust Him in them and in anything else.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Imam al-Sadiq (as) said, 'Nothing exists without a limit.' I asked, 'May I be sacrificed for you, what is the limit of trust [in Allah]?' He said, 'Conviction.' I said, 'So what is the limit of conviction?' He said, 'That you do not fear anything apart from Allah.'

Imam Ali (as):
Faith has four pillars: trust in Allah, handing over matters to Allah, satisfaction with the decree of Allah, and submission to the command of Allah.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Allah revealed to prophet David (as): "No sooner does a servant of Mine cling only unto Me and not anyone else from My creatures and I know this from his intention then the heavens and the earth and whosoever is in them devise a scheme against him than I will appoint for him a way out and deliver him from their scheme."

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
If any of you would like to be granted his need any time he beseeches to his Lord, then he must despair of all people, and place his hope solely in Allah. When Allah finds this in his heart, then He will grant his need whenever he beseeches to Allah.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
He who wishes to be the richest of people should be more trusting of what is in Allah’s Hands than what is in others’ hands.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
