Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Stay in touch with one another, be good to one another, have mercy on one another and be righteous brothers just as Allah, Mighty and Exalted, has commanded you.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
I have come to learn that the act of common courtesy is not completed unless through three features: deeming it insignificant, concealing it, and rushing to do it immediately; when you view it as little you have made it great in the eyes of the one you have done good to, when you conceal it you have perfected it, and when you rush to do it you have made it sweet, otherwise, [if you don’t do any of that], you have made it worthless and bitter.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
Verily Allah loves it when one cools down someone's internal heat [by quenching their thirst], and whoever quenches an animal's or any other being's internal heat, Allah will shade him on the Day when no shade will avail except His shade.

Imam al-Kazim (as):
My father, once, held my hand and said, My son, my father; Muhammad ibn Ali (al-Baqir) once held my hand as I am holding yours right now and said, …My son, do good to everyone who seeks good from you, for if he is worthy of it, then you have deposited it in its proper place, and even if he is not worthy of good, you are worthy of doing it. And if someone insults you on your right hand side, then moves over to your left and apologizes to you, accept his apology.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
Verily Allah has appointed from among His creation people known for kind acts and has made its performance beloved to them, and has referred to them those who seek favour and has made the fulfilment of their need easy for them just like the rain when it quenches the thirst of a dry land.

Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
Allah has made good [deeds] heavy [difficult] for the dwellers of this world just like the heaviness of their weight on their scales on the Day of Judgment, and Allah has lightened the weight of evil [deeds] on the dwellers of this world just as the lightness of their weight on their scales on the Day of Judgment.
