The Prophet Muhammad (S):
Every bounty will be asked about on the Day of Resurrection except for what was [used] in the way of Allah, Most High.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
The believer is one whose earnings are pure, whose character [Akhlaq] is beautiful, whose conscience is clean, who gives away whatever is surplus from his wealth, and guards whatever is surplus from his speech.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Who guarantees four things for me, in exchange for four houses in Paradise? Spend in charity and do not fear poverty, spread greetings of peace in the world, abandon disputation even if you are right, and be fair with people in spite of yourself.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
There are three things which if a person performs even one, Allah will make Paradise incumbent for him: to give charity when one is needy oneself, cheerfulness with the whole world, and being just in spite of one's self.

Imam al-Kazim (as):
Whoever gives a poor Muslim clothes to cover himself with or something with which to maintain himself, Allah, Mighty and Exalted, will appoint for him seventy thousand angels who will seek forgiveness for every single sin he has committed until the day when the trumpet will be blown [Resurrection Day].

Imam al-Sajjad (as):
Blessed be the one whose character is good, whose disposition is pleasant, whose conscience is clean and whose outer is agreeable. He gives away whatever is surplus from his wealth, and guards whatever is surplus from his speech and is fair to people in spite of himself.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
If people earn whence Allah has ordered them to and spend it in that which He has forbidden, then He will not accept it from them. And if they earn what Allah has prohibited them from and spend it in that which He has ordered them to, He will not accept it from them either unless they take it from its rightful place and spend it in its rightful place.
