Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Stay away from three types of people: a treacherous person, a wrong-doer, and a talebearer, because he who betrays in your favor will someday betray you, he who wrongs others for you will eventually wrong you, and he who informs you on others will someday inform against you.

Imam Ali (as):
Do not look for brotherhood among disloyal people, rather, you should look for it among committed and loyal people.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
A Muslim must not associate in a brotherly manner with an immoral person, for such a person tends to decorate one's evil deeds for him and likes to render him just as immoral as he is; he will not help him in his worldly affairs or that of his hereafter, and his socializing with him will only bring disgrace to him.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
He who helps someone in wronging a believer even with a part of a word will meet Allah, Mighty and Exalted, on the Day of Resurrection with the following words written between his eyes: 'Doomed from the mercy of Allah.'

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
When a believer wrongfully accuses his fellow brother, his faith disappears from his heart like salt dissolves in water.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Imam al-Sadiq (AS), when asked about the status of a man who lies when he speaks, breaks promises when he makes them, and betrays trusts when entrusted with them, replied, 'This is the closest stage to disbelief but he is not to be considered a disbeliever.'
