رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
إنَّكُم لَن تَسَعُوا النّاسَ بأموالِكُم ، فالْقُوهُم بِطَلاقةِ الوَجهِ و حُسْنِ البِشرِ .
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
You will not be able to encompass all people with your money, so meet them with cheerful faces and joy.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
اِلْقَ أخاكَ بِوَجْهٍ مُنْبَسِطٍ .
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
Meet your brother with a cheerful face.

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
كَفى بالمَرْءِ اعتِمادا على أخيهِ أنْ يُنْزِلَ بهِ حاجتَهُ .
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
It suffices for a man to depend on his brother to charge him with his need.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
وُدُّ المؤمنِ للمؤمنِ في اللّهِ مِن أعظَمِ شُعَبِ الإيمانِ . ألاَ و مَنْ أحَبَّ في اللّهِ، و أبْغَضَ في اللّهِ ، و أعْطى في اللّهِ و مَنعَ في اللّهِ ، فهُو مِن أصْفياءِ اللّهِ .
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
A believer’s love for another believer is of the greatest branches of faith. indeed, One who loves for Allah, hates for Allah, gives for Allah and withholds for Allah is among the chosen servants of Allah.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
رسولُ اللّهِ صلى الله عليه و آله ـ لمّا سُئلَ عن أحَبِّ النّاسِ إلى اللّهِ ـ : أنْفَعُ النّاسِ للنّاسِ .
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
When asked about the most beloved of people to Allah, The Messenger of Allah said: Those who are the most useful to people.

الإمام محمد الباقر (عليه السَّلام):
قالَ رسولُ اللّهِ صلى الله عليه و آله : ما آمَنَ بي مَن باتَ شَبْعانَ و جارُهُ جائعٌ . قالَ : و ما مِن أهلِ قريةٍ يَبِيتُ و فيهِم جائعٌ ، يَنظُرُ اللّهُ إليهِم يومَ القِيامَةِ .
Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as):
The Prophet (s) said, 'He has no faith in me who sleeps the night satiated while his neighbour is hungry.' He has also said, 'No sooner do the people in a village sleep at night while there is a hungry man in their midst than Allah will not look at them on the Day of Resurrection.'

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
أعوذُ باللّهِ مِن جارِ السَّوءِ في دارِ إقامةٍ ، تَراكَ عَيْناهُ و يَرْعاكَ قَلْبُهُ ، إنْ رآكَ بخَيرٍ ساءَهُ ، و إنْ رآك بشَرٍّ سَرَّهُ .
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
I seek refuge in Allah from a bad neighbor, who keeps an eye on you and whose heart is watching you. If he sees you in a good condition he becomes upset, and if he sees you in an adverse situation he becomes happy.

الإمام الكاظم (عليه السَّلام):
ليسَ حُسنُ الجِوارِ كَفَّ الأذى ، و لكنْ حُسنُ الجِوارِ الصّبرُ على الأذى .
Imam al-Kazim (as):
Neighbourliness is not only to desist from annoying [one's neighbour], but also to forbear annoyance [from him].

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
حُسنُ الجِوارِ يُعمِّرُ الدِّيارَ ، و يَزيدُ في الأعْمارِ .
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Neighbourliness causes the lands to thrive and increases lifespans.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
يا معشرَ مَن أسلَمَ بلِسانِهِ و لَم يُسلِمْ بقلبِهِ، لا تَتَبَّعوا عَثَراتِ المسلِمينَ ؛ فإنّه مَن تَتَبَّعَ عَثَراتِ المسلِمينَ تَتَبَّعَ اللّهُ عَثْرتَهُ ، و مَن تَتَبَّعَ اللّهُ عَثْرتَهُ يَفْضَحْهُ .
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
O company of those who have proclaimed faith with their tongues but have not submitted in their hearts, do not probe for flaws in believers, for a man that probes the flaws of his brothers will have Allah probe his own flaws; and when Allah probes the flaws of a man, He will expose him.
