Imam Ali (as):
The betrayer is the one who busies himself with [the affairs of] others and his today is worse than his yesterday.

أمّا علَامةُ الخائنِ فأربَعةٌ: عِصْيانُ الرّحمانِ، وَ أذَى الجِيرانِ، وَ بُغْضُ الأقْرانِ، وَ القُرْبُ إلى الطُّغْيانِ.
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
As for the signs of the betrayer, there are four: disobedience to the All-Beneficent, disturbance to neighbors, loathing his associates, and being close to tyranny and oppression.
