Imam Ali (as):
The one who pries into others faults, and disapproves of them, and then he approves them for himself, is truly a fool.

كَفى بِالمَرءِ عَيبا أن يَنظُرَ مِنَ النّاسِ إلى ما يَعمى عَنهُ مِن نَفسِهِ، و يُعَيِّرَ النّاسَ بِما لا يَستَطيعُ تَركَهُ، و يُؤذي جَليسَهُ بِما لا يَعنيهِ.
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
It is sufficient for someone as a fault when he pries into other's faults while he is blind to his own faults, when he reproaches others for the same faults which he can not abandon, and when he bothers his companion by probing into matters that are none of his business.
