... حتّى جاءَ محمّدٌ صلى الله عليه و آله فجاءَ بالقرآنِ و بشَريعَتِهِ و مِنهاجِهِ، فحَلالُهُ حَلالٌ إلى يَومِ القِيامَةِ، و حَرامُهُ حَرامٌ إلى يَومِ القِيامَةِ.
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
.... till Muhammad came, and he brought the Quran and its laws and teachings. So, the permitted (halal) of Muhammad is permitted until the Day of Resurrection, and his forbidden (haram) is forbidden until the Day of Resurrection.

إنّ اللّهَ عَزَّ ذِكرُهُ خَتَمَ بنَبِيِّكُمُ النَّبيِّينَ فلا نَبيَّ بَعدَهُ أبَدا، و خَتَمَ بكِتابِكُمُ الكُتُبَ فلا كِتابَ بَعدَهُ أبدا.
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Allah, may His remembrance be exalted, sealed the prophets with your prophet, so there will never be a prophet after him, and He sealed the books with your Book, so there will never be a Book after it.
