إنّ اللّهَ بحُكْمِهِ وَ فَضْلِه جَعلَ الرَّوحَ وَ الفَرحَ في اليقينِ وَ الرِّضا، وجَعلَ الهَمَّ والحُزنَ في الشَّكِّ وَ السُّخْطِ.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

Truly Allah, out of His wisdom and grace, placed bliss and happiness in conviction and contentment, and placed worry and sorrow in doubt and discontentment.

لا تَضْرِبوا الدَّوابَّ على وُجوهِها؛ فإنَّها تُسَبِّحُ بحَمْدِ اللّهِ.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

Do not hit animals on their faces for verily they praise and glorify Allah.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):

اِرْكَبوا هذهِ الدَّوابَّ سالِمَةً وَ اتَّدِعُوها سالِمَةً، وَ لا تَتَّخِذوها كَراسِيَّ لأحاديثِكُم في الطُّرُقِ وَ الأسْواقِ، فَرُبَّ مَرْكوبَةٍ خَيرٌ مِن راكِبِها وَ أكْثَرُ ذِكْراً للّهِ تباركَ وتعالى مِنهُ.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

Mount the sound animals and look after them properly and do not treat them as chairs for your conversations in the streets and the markets, for many riding animals are better than their rider and are more remembering of Allah - Blessed and most High.

لَمّا أبْصَرَ ناقَةً مَعْقولَةً وَ علَيها جِهازُها: أينَ صاحِبُها؟ مُروهُ فلْيَسْتعِدَّ غَداً للخُصومَةِ.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

Saw a she-camel, whose knees were tied up, carrying her load, he said, Where is her owner? Tell him that he should prepare for the lawsuit tomorrow [the Day of Resurrection].

الإمام علي (عليه السَّلام):

مَن غَضِبَ على مَن لا يقدِرُ أنْ يَضُرَّهُ، طالَ حُزْنُهُ وَ عَذّبَ نَفْسَهُ.

Imam Ali (as):

He who is angry with somebody whom he cannot harm, his sorrow endures and he inflicts pain on his own soul.

مَن نَظرَ إلى ما في أيْدي النّاسِ طالَ حُزنُهُ، وَ دامَ أسَفُهُ.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):

Whoever looks at what other people possess, his sorrow endures and his regret is continuous.
