الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
إنَّ سُوءَ الخُلقِ لَيُفسِدُ العَملَ كما يُفسِدُ الخَلُّ العسَلَ.
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Verily ill nature spoils one s deeds just as vinegar spoils honey.

الإمام جعفر الصادق (عليه السَّلام ):
اللَّحْمُ يُنْبِتُ اللَّحْمَ، وَ مَن تَرَكَ اللَّحْمَ أربَعينَ يَوماً ساءَ خُلقُهُ.
Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as):
Eating meat produces flesh [on the body] and the one who avoids meat for forty [consecutive] days will become ill-natured.

رسول الله (صلی الله علیه و آله):
قد قيلَ لَهُ: إنّ فُلانَةَ تَصومُ النّهارَ وَ تَقومُ اللّيلَ، وَ هِي سَيِّئةُ الخُلقِ تُؤْذي جِيرانَها بلِسانِها، لا خَيرَ فيها، هِي مِن أهْلِ النّارِ.
The Prophet Muhammad (S):
It was said to the Prophet (SAWA) that, Such and such a woman fasts during the days and stands for prayer during the nights, but she is ill-natured and insults her neighbors with her tongue , the Prophet (SAWA) then said, There is no good in her, she is of the people of the Hellfire.
