Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as): Imam al-Baqir (as) narrated, We found the following written in the book of the Prophet (s): ‘...When people refuse to pay the alms-tax [Zakat], the earth withholds all its yield of plants, fruits and minerals.’ al-Kāfī
