Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as): Allah revealed to Moses saying: "O Moses, do you know why I singled you out from among My creatures to speak to?" He said: "O Lord, why did You do so?" Allah revealed to him: "O Moses, I probed into the hearts of My servants thoroughly and I did not find among them anyone who was more humble before me than you." al-Kāfī
