Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as): In an intimate conversation that Allah had with Prophet Moses (AS), He said: "Do not envy anyone merely because people are pleased with him until you know that Allah is also pleased with him, and do not envy anyone for being obeyed by people, because people’s obedience to him and their adherence to him in falsehood is a source of destruction for him and for those adhering to him. al-Kāfī
