Imam Ali (as): Imam Ali (AS) said to one of his associates: Don’t devote the major part of your life to your wife and children. If they are God’s devotees, God will take care of them. And if they are God’s enemies, well then, why should you occupy yourself with caring for God’s enemies? Nahj al-Balāgha
