Imam Ali (as): Hearing ʿAmmār ibn Yāsir arguing with al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah, ʿAlī said: Leave him, ʿAmmār! Mughīrah has never accepted any aspect of religion that didn’t bring him worldly benefits. He deliberately creates doubts for himself so he can use them to excuse his blunders. Nahj al-Balāgha
