Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as): He who wakes up in the morning and retires at night having this world as his greatest concern, Allah places poverty between his eyes, disbands his affairs, and he will not collect from this world more than what Allah has apportioned for him. As for the one who wakes up in the morning and retires at night having the Hereafter as his greatest concern, Allah places needlessness in his heart and mends his affairs for him. al-Kāfī
