Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

إنّي لَأكرَهُ لِلرّجُلِ أن يَكونَ علَيهِ نِعمَةٌ مِن اللّهِ فلا يُظهِرُها .

Indeed I hate for a man to have been bestowed bounties by Allah and to not show them.

لمّا سُئلَ : هل يُكرَهُ المؤمنُ على قَبضِ رُوحِهِ ؟ ـ : لا و اللّهِ ، إنّهُ إذا أتاهُ ملَكُ المَوتِ لقَبضِ رُوحهِ جَزِعَ عِندَ ذلكَ ، فيَقولُ لَهُ ملَكُ المَوتِ : يا وَليَّ اللّهِ لا تَجزَعْ ، فوالّذي بَعَثَ محمّدا صلى الله عليه و آله لَأنا أبَرُّ بِكَ و أشفَقُ علَيكَ من والِدٍ رَحيمٍ لو حَضَرَكَ ، افتَحْ عَينَكَ فانظُرْ . قالَ : و يُمَثَّلُ لَهُ رسولُ اللّهِ صلى الله عليه و آله و أميرُ المؤمنينَ و فاطمةُ و الحسنُ و الحسينُ و الأئمةُ من ذُرِّيتِهِم عليهم السلام فيقالُ لَهُ : هذا رسولُ اللّهِ و .. رُفَقاؤكَ ... فما شيءٌ أحَبَّ إلَيهِ مِنِ استِلالِ رُوحِهِ و اللُّحوقِ بالمُنادي
