The best of manners is that which prevents you from committing sins.

When man’s knowledge increases his manners improve and his fear of his Lord increases.

The best of manners is for a man to stop at his limits and to not exceed his status.

Honour your children and refine their manners and your sins will be forgiven.

Verily Allah almighty disciplined His messenger with an excellent discipline, and when He perfected his manners He said: “And indeed, you are of a sublime moral character.” Then He trusted to him the affairs of religion and the Ummah so that he could manage the affairs of His servants.


Good manners in man resemble a tree whose root is intellect.

Imam Ali (as) said, describing the Prophet (s), He was never seen stretching his leg out in the presence of someone sitting with him.


He who is devoid of reason has no good manners.

A man who is not reformed through the etiquette of Allah will not be rehabilitated through his self-discipline.
