RELATED HADITH

Imam Ali (as)

أَفْضَلُ الشِّيَمِ السَّخَاءُ وَ الْعِفَّةُ وَ السَّكِينَةُ.

The best of characteristics are generosity, chastity and tranquility.

Imam Ali (as)

إِيَّاكَ وَ الْهَذَرَ فَمَنْ كَثُرَ كَلَامُهُ كَثُرَتْ آثَامُهُ

Beware of prattle, for he who speaks a lot will have a lot of sins.

Imam Ali (as)

العدلُ أفضلُ مِن الشَّجاعة لأنَّ النّاسَ لَوِ استَعمَلُوا العدلَ عموماً في جميعِهِم لَاستَغنَوا عنِ الشَّجاعة .

Justice is better than bravery, because were people to maintain justice thoroughly and towards all, they would have no need for bravery.

Imam Ali (as)

بِدَوامِ ذِكرِ اللّهِ تَنجابُ الغَفلَةُ.

Through constant remembrance of Allah is negligence dispelled.

Imam Ali (as)

مَنْ عَمِلَ بِالْعَدْلِ حَصَّنَ اللَّهُ مُلْكَهُ.

A king who acts upon justice God will protect his kingdom.

وَ سُئِلَ [عليه السلام] عَنْ قَوْلِ الرَّسُولِ ص غَيِّرُوا الشَّيْبَ وَ لَا تَشَبَّهُوا بِالْيَهُودِ فَقَالَ ع إِنَّمَا قَالَ ص ذَلِكَ وَ الدِّينُ قُلٌّ فَأَمَّا الْآنَ وَ قَدِ اتَّسَعَ نِطَاقُهُ وَ ضَرَبَ بِجِرَانِهِ فَامْرُؤٌ وَ مَا اخْتَارَ .
