Imam Ali (as):
Nothing hurts the heart more than sins. There is no fear worse than [the fear of] death. What has passed to those before you is enough of a thought provoker. And death suffices as an exhorter.

The Prophet Muhammad (S):
Verily the friends of God are engaged in His remembrance when they are silent, they take lessons when they observe and when they speak, they impart wisdom.

Imam Ali (as):
A scholar will never be a [true] scholar until he does not envy one who is above him, does not belittle one who is lower than him [in rank], and does not exploit his knowledge to gain the low pleasures of this world.
