Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

مَن أنعَمَ اللّهُ علَيهِ بنِعمَةٍ فَعَرَفَها بقَلبِهِ ، فقد أدّى شُكرَها .

He whom Allah favours with the bestowal of a bounty and who then acknowledges it with his heart has verily conveyed [true] thanks for it.

Imam Ja‘far al-Ṣadiq (as)

ثَلاثَةٌ لا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللّهُ يومَ القِيامَةِ و لا يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَ لَهُمْ عَذابٌ ألِيمٌ: مَنِ ادّعى إمامةً مِنَ اللّهِ لَيسَتْ لَهُ، و مَنْ جَحَدَ إماما مِنَ اللّهِ، و مَنْ زَعَمَ أنّ لَهُما في الإسلامِ نَصيبا.

جاءَ رَجُلٌ إلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه و آله فَقالَ : ما قَبَّلتُ صَبِيّا قَطُّ . فَلَمّا وَلّى قالَ رَسولُ اللّهِ صلى الله عليه و آله : هذا رَجُلٌ عِندي أنَّهُ مِن أهلِ النّارِ .

قال أبو عبد اللّه عليه السلام لِعُبَيدِ بنِ زِيادٍ : إظهارُ النِّعمَةِ أحَبُّ إلَى اللّهِ مِن صِيانَتِها ، فإيّاكَ أن تَتزَيّنَ إلاّ في أحسَنِ زِيِّ قَومِكَ . قالَ : فما رُئيَ عُبَيدٌ إلاّ في أحسَنِ زِيِّ قَومِهِ حتّى ماتَ .
