RELATED HADITH

Imam Ali (as)

سَعادَةُ المَرْءِ اَلقَناعَةُ وَاَلرِّضا

Man’s prosperity is [secured through] contentment and satisfaction.

Imam Ali (as)

لا وَجَعَ أوجَعُ للقُلوبِ مِن الذُّنوبِ.

Nothing hurts the heart more than sins.

Imam Ali (as)

وَ اللَّهِ لَا يُعَذِّبُ اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ مُؤْمِناً بَعْدَ الْإِيمَانِ إِلَّا بِسُوءِ ظَنِّهِ وَ سُوءِ خُلُقِهِ.

I swear by God that He does not punish a believer after his belief except because of his suspicious thoughts and his ill nature.

Imam Ali (as)

مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ فَمَاتَ فَدَخَلَ النَّارَ فَهُوَ مِمَّنْ كَانَ يَتَّخِذُ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ هُزُواً

If a man reads the Qur'an and on dying goes to Hell then it means that he was among those who treated Divine verses with mockery.

Imam Ali (as)

أفضل من إكتساب الحسنات اجتناب السّيّئات‏.

Refraining from committing evil deeds is better than performing good deeds.

Imam Ali (as)

تَنْزِلُ الْمَعُونَةُ عَلَى قَدْرِ الْمَئُونَةِ .

Divine help descends in proportion to one's need for it.
